Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. All cropping happens in your browser using an HTML5 canvas. The image never leaves your computer, and it isn't saved anywhere - it's gone as soon as you close or refresh this tab.

Can I move and resize the frame freely?

Yes. Drag the frame from the inside to move it anywhere, and pull its corners or edges to resize it, with no restrictions unless you pick a fixed aspect ratio.

What output formats are supported?

PNG (lossless, great if your image has transparency), JPEG and WebP, the last two with a quality control to shrink the file.

Do I lose quality when cropping?

Cropping itself doesn't lose quality, it's just a pixel selection from the original image. The final quality only depends on the output format you pick if it's JPEG or WebP.

Is there a size limit?

A max of 30MB is recommended to keep processing manageable, since everything happens in your device's memory.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. You can use your finger to drag the frame and its handles just like the mouse on a computer.
